Here is a sample one-day menu for Mr. Brown. His doctor just told him to cut down on added sugars in addition to increasing his fiber intake. He hopes to meet with a dietitian next week, but in the meantime needs some help making these changes. List five suggestions for Mr. Brown’s diet. Make sure to provide only changes that address the meal planning goals mentioned above. Tell him which food(s) you would have him omit and how you would replace these items. You may also change portion sizes. Highlight (yellow only, please) or bold the item you are changing. Then write the change next to that. You may make more than five changes, but if you do so, you will only receive full credit when all changes correctly match the assigned directions.

1. What kind of person was King George VI in real life (not just the movie)?

2. What role did he play in history? Why was he important?

3. So far, do you think the movie is reflecting what your research has told you about his lives?

4. So far, what have you noticed about the intonation of the British and/or Australian characters versus Americans here in the Midwest? Have you noticed other differences in the way they talk?

1. Describe the relationship between the duke (King George VI and his wife) as you perceive it from these first parts of the movie.

2. How has the relationship between the duke/King George VI and Lionel (the speech therapist) evolved from the beginning of the movie to the end of today, Wednesday?

3. The duke suffers from a stammer or stuttering condition. What are the effects of this condition on his personal life, on his self-esteem, and his self-efficacy? Give examples from the movie.

2. Of the above proposed causes, which ones did Levitt say ACTUALLY caused crime to go down?

Deliverable 5 – Constructive Criticism



This deliverable will allow you to demonstrate your ability to properly review a given piece of writing and provide constructive criticism to improve the writing.


One of your co-workers has been given charge of constructing an email introducing the new line of textbooks that will be advertised to textbook committees and local school boards across the country. This opportunity is extremely important for the company, and the advertising team has planned to publicize the new line with a big push. They will start by sending an email to the prospective buyers. Since this email is a crucial part of the push, your coworker has asked for your constructive feedback before sending it to the prospective buyers.

Read the copy of her email here, and using what you have learned about collaborating and giving feedback, write her a return email that gives her constructive feedback to improve her email. Make sure your email contains the following: Use the Sandwich Method to present your feedback. Your input and feedback should contain the errors in the present email as well as your ideas on how to improve her email. Be sure to use professional formal English in your response, since she is charged also with writing a professional email for release to the business community. Remember that she is a member of your team, and your goal is to help her make this email a successful statement in the company’s advertising campaign so be sure to use constructive criticism.
