The Herb & Bitter Public House is a neighborhood bar in the Capitol Hill area of the city and is an excellent spot for a post-work drink. The layout is relaxed with cushioned seating and bar stools offering the perfect setup to chat to the bartenders or even meet up with family for a bite to eat.

The Growler Guys have several locations across Washington and neighboring states, and if you’re lucky enough to work or live close by the University District, this is a top spot for any beer lover. The Northeast Seattle bar is always full of beer-heads who know their stuff and has a large outdoor space perfect for those summer evenings following a day in the office.

Another Capitol Hill joint that’s ideal for sports fans looking to catch the game after work is Speckled & Drake. It’s a sports bar with a difference, though, and offers a much friendlier and more sophisticated vibe, with some great cocktails, one, even so, popular they decided to name the bar after it.

With gin the big thing at the moment, you won’t find a better spot to enjoy the spirit than Bathtub Gin Co. One of the most stylish bars in the city, with a real rustic and suave theme, the bar is one of the most respected in the city and will often have well over 30 gins available, in all manner of flavors.
Located on 2nd Avenue, the intimate basement bar is around 12 years old and offers a relaxed and warm place to enjoy a gin, or wine/beer, in comfortable surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of a busy day. You’ll also find several snacks, including charcuterie boards and their sausage dog, which has become a real hit with the locals.
