6 Tips For Working Remotely
The U.S has seen some profound changes since the beginning of 2020; Covid-19 is rampant, California wildfires are out of control, and people have been forced into isolation. More and more people are working remotely, and this can provide its own set of challenges.
The other day I was enjoying some Lazarus Naturals CBD and working from my computer when I realized how difficult it could be for some people to work remotely.
I love that I don’t have to go into an office and try to take full advantage of this situation. Working remotely can have some pretty frustrating psychological repercussions if you aren’t making an effort to make the best of it. Many people aren’t used to having such little exposure to social situations, and really don’t like being by themselves. I am the opposite.
I don’t mind the absence of people, and I love the time I spend by myself. But it wasn’t always like that. At first, I found myself sitting in the same room working the day away, only to get off work and realize that I was in the same boring place. That’s all changed now, and I’ve got six tips to help you make the most of working remotely.

#1. Get a Bus, RV, or Van
Sitting around all day in the same place can literally make you insane. That’s basically what prison is, and you don’t want to live your life in a glorified prison that you call your apartment or house. Instead, it’s time to make some changes and get out into the world.
Having to go to the office every day only made it seem like your house isn’t a prison, but in reality, you are working your life away to pay for a place to sleep. Society has developed in a pretty silly way, and we have been made to believe that working 9 to 5 to pay for a roof over our head is somehow fair, and somehow not a form of slavery. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Find yourself a van, RV, or retired school bus, and get ready to get back to living! These vehicles can be purchased for incredibly low prices. I bought my first van for $1,500, and it lasted over 100k miles.
I invested $1,000 in developing the van, installed solar panels on the roof, a mini-fridge, bed, and water tank with sink, and ended up selling the van for $7k after having lived in it for two years and putting 100k on it. I then spent the money on a retired school bus.
I found a 25ft bus in great shape, spent $4k on it, and the rest of the money making it into a full-on mobile office with running water, satellite wifi, solar electricity, a bed, shower, and all the other modern conveniences we hold dear in the 21st century.
#2. Tips For Working Remotely: Turn It Into A Mobile Office
Converting your vehicle to a mobile office may seem a bit tricky, but it’s nothing you can’t learn from youtube videos. The three most essential parts of working remotely are; having electricity, having wifi access, and having food and water. If you can accomplish these three things, you can successfully work just about anywhere.
#3. Get A Dog
Let’s be real; even if you’re living an exciting life traveling around the country in your bus conversion, things can get pretty lonely. Don’t pick up a significant other. They talk too much, always have an opinion about what you both should be doing, and will only get in the way of enjoying your incredible life on the road.
A dog is a much better option. They don’t talk back, require a minimal investment in regards to food and water, and they’ll provide you all of the quiet company you need to maintain your sanity.
#4. Hit The Road
Now that you’ve got your vehicle outfitted and your K-9 best friend, it’s time to hit the road. Where you go doesn’t really matter as long as you want to see it. The two things you need to consider are camping fees and wifi reception. This information can easily be acquired online. Don’t pay for places to park; there are countless locations that allow primitive camping in your vehicle and are completely free. Just look online and make sure you get reception for work.
#5. Get On A Schedule
It’s incredibly easy to be excited by the beautiful places you’re in and blow off work completely. Don’t do this, or you won’t be able to afford your adventure. Get on a schedule, get up early, and complete your daily tasks so you can get out and enjoy the location!

Don’t get stagnant! Keep moving, and you’ll always feel refreshed and inspired. It’s easy to get comfy when you’ve found a right spot, but there are too many beautiful places to see for you to stay in any one area for too long.
