Lack of Motivation? Regaining Mojo During a Global Pandemic
Many people are noticing about living through a global pandemic that it can be straightforward to lose your mojo when your life is upside down. Having your life turned upside down can have a detrimental effect on your mindset and lead to feelings of helplessness, a loss of motivation, and, in many cases, depression.
We are all different, and as such, we will naturally react to situations differently. What works for one won’t work for everyone. However, finding new or different activities to help you overcome a lack of motivation can help you keep yourself on an even keel while we wait for the world to get back to normal.

Exercise
Exercise releases endorphins and, as such, can help to lift your mood and make you feel better. This could be as simple as taking a walk around your local neighborhood, taking a dip in your pool if you have one, or doing an online workout. Exercise will help your body stay fit and healthy, but it will also help you remain more positive and give you focus during these uncertain times.
Lack of Motivation: Education
There has been a lot of emphasis on learning new skills or putting this time to good use. While we can go out and about in the world as much as we would like to right now, we can use the internet to learn more about the world or teach ourselves new skills or even gain a new hobby.
Immerse yourself in the theatre world and challenge your way of thinking thanks to theatre shows by directors like Travis Preston, who bring innovative and immersive shows to theatergoers.
Organize your Day
Working and living within the same four walls can feel like you are stuck in groundhog day. The monotony of getting up, moving to a desk to work, then trying to relax all without leaving your home will take its toll on you. There are not many people who wouldn’t struggle with this, especially if you have children at home and remotely learning.
Take some time to compartmentalize your home and your day: separate work, school and home life as much as possible. Avoid working in the bedroom if you can and leave that room for sleep only. Break up your day by heading outside for some fresh air, or stopping for a workout, etc. Make sure to take a lunch break away from your desk and limit how many chores you do during work hours. If you usually work outside of the home, you wouldn’t be there to do those chores normally, so don’t do them during your working day now.
Lack of Motivation: Sleep
As much as possible, stick to a regular sleeping pattern. When you are tired and have an irregular sleeping pattern, it will make you feel worse and add to your lack of getting up and going. Ensure your bedroom is the sanctuary that encourages sleep and gives you a space to relax and unwind.
Use lavender if you are struggling to sleep, white noise apps, and experiment to find the perfect ambiance in the room to help you sleep better at night.
